Exhausted, But I’m Back

The 1st Life me is pretty much like this too.

I’ve had a crazy month and while it is still a bit hectic, I can actually afford some quality time in my favorite virtual world.  Just in time too since there’s the Vintage Fair (WOOHOO!!!) and The Wash’s Biannual Cart Sale going on.  I will be broke, but with a extensive wardrobe.   I already did some shopping in the Vintage Fair, but I will tell you more about that later.

For now I just want to take the time to give props to a store called Vanguard.  I recently purchased an item that looked great in the photo, but not so great when I was wearing it.  So I sent a note card to the owner, not expecting a refund because, like most SL stores, their policy was not to refund unless you accidentally bought a duplicate.  Not too long after I had sent the notecard, the owner contacted me with an apology and she also refunded me despite her policy.   Thanks Rollyn for your awesome customer service. 🙂

Anyway, I’m going my merry way to spend my money on awesomeness.

COCO & CO to Close

Yes, I’m posting more than one post in one day, a miracle. It is always sad to hear of a store in SL closing it’s doors.  COCO & CO will be closing in a couple of weeks and everything is either on sale or for free.  You can find the freebies on the second floor and they have some nice accessories and an adorable outfit available.  {essences} also has a free skin up as a group gift.  I mentioned in a previous post that May was the best month for finding free hair and I’m wearing one of the many designs offered up by Exile.

Momiji Hunt Rhapsody

Atherina has volunteered to be my guest model again since she had found these cute little freebies in the Home’s Momiji Hunt.   It is a sim based hunt that’s held in Lavanda Square, and you hunt down 11 little kokeshi dolls in hopes of finding the one that will lead you to all the goodies.  This hunt runs until May 28

The cute shirt by Lavanda is probably my favorite of her finds, best of all it is MESH and comes in standard sizing.

How cute are these strawberry shades, provided for the hunt by MDL?

Modish provided the beautiful skin that Atherina is wearing, giving her a peachy, sun-kissed look.  The adorable little Kokeshi Doll earrings are among the many gifts by Lavanda and fit with the theme of the hunt.    So far May has been the best month for finding free hair, which I plan on photographing and blogging later.  Atherina is currently wearing one of my favorite hair finds by Tameless, which happens to be a gift of the No Strings Attached Hunt which runs until May 31.  It is an updo that is perfect for small hats and tiaras and comes with a long hair option as well.  Tameless also has some lucky board gifts that look amazing, so I urge you to check them out.

Simply Sweet Deals for Spring

Put a little spring in your step with this cute little dress that I have found in this awesome store called Multiple Personality Designs.   It comes in a fatpack with 4 other spring friendly colors shown below.

Cedar, Coffee, Quary, and Phlox

They each come with a pair of black ballet flats and you can choose one color for 1L or get the entire pack for 5L.   I could just go on about Multiple Personality Designs, heck even their sim, which the most expensive thing I’ve found so far is 25L  So you can’t go wrong.  (I think the texture store is the only exception)   I even paired them up with some cute accessories.

Every girl should have at least a little bling.

 

You can grab these Splash Bangles by Lunish Cats for free from the Womenstuff Group Gift board located in Maverick Designs and the Princess Necklace came from AR Designs, though I don’t exactly recall where I found it, I assume that it was a free gift from the FabFree HQ.    I thought my free Wynona hair by A&A went well with the whole ensemble.   It comes with a resizing HUD, which also allows you to change your streak color.

The Cart Sale, Rockin’ the Rockabillie

I had decided to check out The Cart Sale that most of my fave freebie fashion blogs were raving about.  I am so glad that this is a virtual world where bags are not required.  I don’t think I would have been able to fit everything in a car.  Just in case you haven’t even heard of The Cart Sale, it’s a shopping event that is currently located in The Wash.   All items that are located in the carts are 10L or less and they have a great selection.  While you are there, hop on by to the FabFree Headquarters.   FabFree is a freebie blog and with the help of some awesome designers, they provide some really awesome stuff for 0L.  They have some awesome stuff show cased, so I suggest you check out their blog, because they have a lot of good stuff.  Okay, I’ll shut up now and share these little gems that I’ve found.   I might show more once I get the time to get the pictures.

This is perhaps my favorite find at The Cart Sale.  The Rockabillie Red Dottie Dress by Evilkyoot was practically begging me to purchase it in all of its polka dotted glory.  It comes with the lovely red rose that you could wear in your hair, giving it classy touch.  Rock it for just 10L.

I also found this Scene women’s necklace by Option at The Cart Sale, also for 10L.  I love it when my jewelry is simple, and it seems to add a nice touch to the dress.  I love the skin I’m currently in, which is the Hisaki by Heartsick and it comes with 3 different shades and the Love Shape.  All of this was a free gift through the Forbidden Love Hunt which lasts until March 12, so I would hurry and get it now if I were you.  My shape, is also from Heartsick, was a shape/skin combo called Juliet. It was free though group membership, which is only 10L to join.   My hair was a freebie from Alli & Ali Design (Marketplace only) and it’s called Lana.   While I’m at it, I could rave about Glamorize, which is where I found my  Sweet eye make up for $1, but I plan to do that in another post because I practically hit the jack pot.  It is also where some of my photos come from.  Love it, love it, love it!  With every great outfit, you will need a great pair of shoes.  Patula’s House offers that in this free pair of shoes, provided via Marketplace.  They come with an HUD to adjust the color of skin and nails as well as the size.  They also come with a few poses, which I haven’t really explored yet, but I plan to do it as soon as I log back in.
